Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Officer to join our committed team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being of our students, supporting their personal development, and ensuring a positive school experience. This role is vital in helping to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide pastoral support to students, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' well-being.
Develop and implement pastoral care programs and initiatives.
Monitor and track students' attendance, behavior, and progress.
Conduct one-on-one and group sessions with students to address specific issues.
Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal and social development.
Handle safeguarding concerns and follow the appropriate procedures.
Assist in the organization and delivery of assemblies and workshops on relevant topics.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of pastoral support activities.
Contribute to the development of a positive school culture and ethos.

Qualifications and Experience:

A degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Experience working in a pastoral or support role within an educational setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
