Academics are recruiting for a full-time Pastoral Support Worker to join a popular and highly regarded secondary school in Halifax, starting in September.
???? ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be working closely with secondary-aged students, providing pastoral and emotional support and helping pupils to engage positively with school.
The successful candidate will be someone who is:
???? Confident supporting young people with mental health and emotional wellbeing
???? Experienced in managing and responding to challenging behaviour
???? Calm, patient and reassuring, even in difficult situations
???? Positive, approachable and able to build strong relationships
????️ A confident communicator who can work effectively with pupils, staff and families
❤️ Passionate about making a genuine difference to young people's lives???????? EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
You must have experience working with secondary-aged children, either within a secondary school environment or a similar setting such as youth work, mentoring or other relevant support work.
