Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Assistant to join our team starting in September. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being and personal development of our students. A specialism in one or more subjects is a significant advantage, as it allows for a more integrated approach to student support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide pastoral care and support to students, addressing their individual needs.
Work closely with teachers and other staff to identify students requiring additional support.
Assist in the development and implementation of student support plans.
Promote positive behaviour and well-being within the school.
Facilitate communication between students, parents, and staff to ensure cohesive support.
Organise and participate in pastoral care activities and programs.
Support the safeguarding and child protection policies of the school.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a pastoral role within an educational setting is preferred.
A specialism in a particular subject (e.g., English, Math, Science) is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is mandatory.
Relevant qualifications in education or pastoral care are advantageous.
