The role

Firespec Ltd is looking for an experienced Passive Fire Protection Inspector to join its growing inspections team.

This is more than a routine site inspection position. You will help clients achieve safe, compliant and technically sound fire protection installations across new and existing buildings throughout the UK.

UK-wide travel and regular overnight stays are required.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect passive fire protection installations across a range of building types

• Assess fire protection measures against current legislation, standards and industry guidance

• Identify non-compliant workmanship and installation defects

• Produce clear, accurate and professional inspection reports

• Work with clients, contractors and project teams to address compliance issues

• Support teams in identifying suitable remedial solutions

• Maintain a professional and solutions-focused approach on every project

The person

You must have:

• Previous passive fire protection inspection, supervision or installation experience

• Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and installation methods

• An IFE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or equivalent

• A professional qualification or trade-specific CSCS card

• Knowledge of current legislation, standards and technical guidance

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel

• A full UK driving licence

• Flexibility to travel and stay away overnight

Previous consultancy or inspection experience and additional industry accreditations would be beneficial.
