Brook Street Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and successful client in Ballyclare to recruit a Parts Controller / Estimator for their busy Bodyshop operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in vehicle repair, parts management, or a Bodyshop environment who is looking to join a professional team offering long-term career prospects and an excellent benefits package.
The Role
As Parts Controller / Estimator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Bodyshop by managing vehicle parts, supporting repair estimates, and helping deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Order, receive, and manage parts required for vehicle repairs
Check incoming parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring they are allocated to the correct jobs
Maintain accurate stock levels, produce stock reports, and carry out stock checks
Prepare and process repair estimates, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Submit estimates to customers and insurers in a timely manner
Obtain authorisation for repairs and manage supplementary estimate requests
Provide regular updates to customers and colleagues on repair and estimate progress
Assist with job card preparation and invoicing when required
Plan and prioritise workload to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety procedures
Support Bodyshop Management with additional duties as required
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Parts Controller, Estimator, Bodyshop, Vehicle Repair, Automotive Parts, or similar role
Technical knowledge of vehicle repairs within a Bodyshop environment (light or heavy vehicles) would be highly advantageous
Strong IT and administrative skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication and customer service skills
A professional approach when dealing with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a keen eye for detail
