Part-Time Purchasing Assistant
Position: Purchasing Assistant
Location: Banbury
Salary: £15,132
Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, flexi time available)
Potential: Potential to increase hours
Job Role:
To assist the purchasing team in the continuous process involved in the supply of products, which begins with identifying customer needs and ends with delivering customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate Bills of Materials for production from information supplied by the Technical Teams.
Raise works orders.
Raise purchase orders from processed works orders.
Send orders to suppliers via email from Sage.
Chase suppliers for updates on orders.
Place and track orders, including office supplies and employee requests.
Ensure the timely ordering and restocking of coffee supplies and related items.
Perform regular updates to the Engineering Change Request (ECR) system.
Coordinate with relevant departments to implement ECR changes and troubleshoot issues.
End of Month Data Reporting.
Handle and prioritise incoming site requests.
Communicate with site managers and relevant departments to address and fulfillrequests accurately.
Assist with stock taking by inputting information and counting stock.
Perform necessary administration tasks related to the above responsibilities.
Cover colleagues' tasks during absence as allocated by the Purchasing Manager.
Requirements:
Education and Qualifications:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience of working in a busy office environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
Excellent administrative coordination skills.
Excellent numerical accuracy.
Database management.
Experience with SAGE ERP 1000 is desirable.
