SF Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic organisation who are looking to on board a Project Accountant on a part basis. The purpose of the role is to provide the Senior Finance Manager and Heads of Department with strong, accurate and timely financial support regarding budgets. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded and interesting organisation.
Key tasks:
- Business partner and foster relationships with the Heads of and other colleagues ensuring complete trust in the financials.
- Drive high quality financial/commercial performance through having a detailed understanding of the programme.
- Attend and lead regular stakeholder meetings ensuring they obtain a full understanding of the project financials.
- Provide Heads Of and stakeholders with timely financial reports including insightful analysis and commentary.
- Challenge Heads of regarding their financial forecasts to ensure accuracy of spend profile.
- Chair the monthly Finance Working Group which includes external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly claims and ensure spend profile is managed to deliver as agreed.
- Continually review, maintain, and improve monthly project cost forecasting by activity.
- Kept accurate budget records through deploying a formal change control process.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Procurement team to support the journey of the budget through procurement.
- Provide support to the wider Finance team.
- Drive continuous improvement of finance processes.
- Ensure full substantiation of all project accruals.
- Ad-hoc reporting as requested
