Start Date: 3rd September 2026

Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Salary: £34,397 - £46,838 (MPS 1-6, pro-rata)
Contract: Temporary | Part-time (2 days per week - Thursdays and Fridays only)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Hatfield, Hertfordshire from September 2026.

This is a part-time position (2 days per week), working exclusively on Thursdays and Fridays. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering high-quality teaching and learning within a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Demonstrate secure knowledge of the national curriculum
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured and differentiated lessons
Use assessment effectively to support pupil progress and attainment
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Show strong organisational and communication skills
