Part-time Payroll Officer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our client's team in Market Bosworth on a part-time basis. This is a varied position where you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process while also supporting the wider finance function. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, legislative compliance and the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.

You will be responsible for managing payroll from start to finish, supporting accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records and identifying opportunities to improve processes across the payroll and finance functions.

Payroll Officer
Job Description

Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate calculations, deductions and timely submissions
Support accounts payable activities, including processing supplier invoices and payments
Assist with general accounting duties including journals, bank reconciliations and month/year-end processes
Maintain payroll and finance documentation with a focus on data integrity and confidentiality
Work closely with the Finance Manager to support the wider finance function
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across payroll and finance

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Previous experience managing end-to-end payroll
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a part-time schedule
