The talent acquisition team at NET Recruit are delighted to be supporting a growing and highly successful not-for-profit organisation operating within the Southampton area, who are actively seeking for a Finance Director to join their finance team for 4 days a week. This opportunity has come about within their finance team, to take a lead role in securing their financial stability and providing operational assistance in order to support their growth, through management of the finance, facilities and IT infrastructure.

This role is for 4 days a week, and so the mentioned salary below is the full time equivalent.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

Taking a lead role in providing detailed forecasting and working with colleagues on financial business planning, alongside accurate budgeting.
Supporting the CEO and other senior directors and board members with commercial and non-commercial decision making, and supporting on strategic financial issues and contributing to the strategic plan.
Ensuring financial controls are implemented and maintained.
Giving the financial appraisal of new projects, to include system upgrades and growth projects.
Overseeing the performance of the investment portfolio.
Overseeing the production of management accounts and balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
Leading the monthly payroll, ensuring it is compliant and suggesting areas for improvement.
Liaising with a variety of stakeholders, including Funders and business partnerships.
Taking the lead on facilities and vehicle management, overseeing the maintenance schedules and checks.
Leading health and safety systems and processes for audit, risk and compliance.
Managing the IT strategy across the business.
Monitoring the usage of technologies, maximising efficiency and profitability and compliance with data protection.
Overseeing the admin support team. What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accounting professional and have significant experience leading finance functions and overseeing transactional duties and controls. Experience handling financial risk matters, alongside management processes and mitigation strategies is necessary in this role too. Exposure to the charitable and not-for-profit sector, either working for a comparable business, volunteering in a professional capacity or serving as a board member/trustee to a charitable organisation is highly desired within this role, but not essential. The ideal candidate will possess a varied systems knowledge to include a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and preferably knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable. You will need exquisite and dynamic communication skills, which you can adapt to your audience.
  
What you will get in Return:
For the successful candidate working 4 days a week, a base salary of up to £60,000 (FTE - full time equivalent) is on offer, to accompany a comprehensive remuneration package and additional incentives to fully reward and motivate you.
