Part-Time Compliance Officer - Southwark, London
Position: Part-Time Compliance Officer
12 month contract - with the potential to go perm
Salary: £19,000 for 3 days - FTE £32,000
Monday - Wednesday (hybrid - one day in the office)
Location: Southwark, London
Our client, a leading Insurance Company is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Part-Time Compliance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure that our client complies with regulatory and legal requirements while maintaining high standards of internal policies.
Responsibilities:
Conduct risk assessments with the Group Compliance Manager.
Act as the primary contact and liaison between department heads and senior management on all compliance and complaints-related issues.
Perform regular assessments and audits to ensure policies align with legal requirements.
Complete SARS requests.
Collaborate with the manager to review the Operational Risk register.
Work alongside the administration teams to ensure compliance in all areas.
Assist in conducting QA checks on customer correspondences.
Support the compliance team in implementing policies and procedures.
Aid in the gathering of information in response to requests by regulatory organisations.Skills and Experience:
Excellent influencing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in presenting reports to various stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
Experience in risk assessment and management.
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Significant experience in the insurance sector.
Working knowledge of FCA and FOS rules.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
