This role is fully office based and will be 3 full days a week, however there is flexibility to work 4 or 5 shorter days. Part Time Accountant - About The Role

In this role you will be working within a finance team of 3 and will be reporting into the Finance Manager. You will be a key player in the daily running of the finance function and the ideal candidate will be available at short notice.

Your key responsibilities will be:

* Support with the preparation and production of the monthly management accounts

* Processing journals and completing balance sheet reconciliations

* Ensure accurate reporting, preparation and payment of quarterly VAT

* Monitor bank accounts to ensure positive cash-flow and regularly report and analyse on company’s financial status

* Reconcile bank accounts including credit card and petty cash

* Overseeing the transactional accounting function and ensuring that all purchase and sales invoices are processed accurately

* Managing the credit control function and producing debtor reports

* Liasing with the external accountants to deliver year-end accounts

* Instructing the outsourced payroll provider for the monthly payroll

The successful Part Time Accountant will have:

* Previous experience in a similar position

* Experience i working within an SME

* QBE/part qualified candidates will be considered

* Strong attention to detail
