A progressive and forward-thinking independent accountancy practice is seeking a motivated Part Qualified or Qualified Tax Accountant to join their team. This firm is dedicated to modernisation and transformation, providing an exciting opportunity for growth and professional development.

Position Overview:

As a Tax Accountant you will play a key role in supporting the firm's modernisation efforts by delivering high-quality tax services to clients and contributing to process improvements within the tax department.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and minimising tax liabilities.

Conduct research on tax issues and developments, and effectively communicate findings to clients and colleagues.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters and providing proactive solutions to meet their needs.

Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations, and communicate implications to clients and colleagues.

Collaborate with other members of the tax team and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance efficiency.

Support the firm's modernisation and transformation initiatives by embracing new technologies, tools, and methodologies to streamline tax processes.

Requirements

studying towards your ATT / CTA is preferred but ACA/ACCA considered if you're working in a tax capacity

solid understanding of tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.

previous experience in tax compliance and advisory within a public accounting firm or tax consultancy.

excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
