Job Description:

A healthcare organization in Wandsworth, London, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Paramedic Practitioner to join their dynamic team. The Paramedic Practitioner will play a vital role in delivering high-quality urgent and primary care services to patients within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment and Triage: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with urgent and primary care needs. Triage patients effectively to determine appropriate treatment pathways.

Clinical Interventions: Provide evidence-based clinical interventions, including wound care, minor injury management, medication management, and health promotion.

Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls as part of an integrated team, providing rapid and effective pre-hospital care to patients in critical situations

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic patient care.

Patient Education: Offer health education and advice to patients and their families, empowering them to manage their conditions effectively and promote healthy lifestyles.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records systems, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge, staying abreast of latest developments in healthcare practice.
Requirements:

Registered Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience working as a Paramedic Practitioner or in a similar role within primary or urgent care settings.
Advanced clinical assessment skills, including the ability to make autonomous decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting the well-being of individuals and communities.
Desirable:

Additional qualifications or training in areas such as minor injuries, non-medical prescribing, or advanced life support.
Experience in using electronic health records systems.
Knowledge of local healthcare services and community resources in Wandsworth.
