Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal with a minimum of 6 months' previous conveyancing experience to join a highly regarded Securitisation team in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a busy and established Securitisation team, working alongside experienced Solicitors and Partners on a varied caseload and supporting transactions from initial instruction through to completion.

Previous conveyancing experience of at least 6 months is essential and non-negotiable.

The Role

Working as part of the Property team, responsibilities will include:

Supporting Solicitors and Partners with a varied portfolio of property transactions
Managing allocated tasks across files and taking responsibility for progressing work to agreed deadlines
Reviewing property titles and obtaining Official Copy Entries and other Land Registry documentation
Carrying out property due diligence, searches and title checks
Liaising with Land Registry, Local Authorities, clients and other third parties to obtain required information
Chasing outstanding documentation and ensuring files continue to progress
Assisting with pre-completion searches and post-completion matters
Providing regular updates to Solicitors and clients on the progress of transactions
Monitoring deadlines and prioritising a busy workload
Supporting colleagues within the wider team when required
Maintaining accurate records and following established legal and departmental proceduresAbout You

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of 6 months' previous conveyancing experience - essential
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Experience managing a busy workload and prioritising competing deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
A professional and approachable telephone manner
Strong administration skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player
A methodical, proactive and commercially minded approach
The confidence to communicate with clients, Solicitors and other stakeholdersA Law degree or equivalent would be advantageous, as would experience of CILEx, the LPC or working within a Document Management System, but these are not essential.
