Description:

Futures are currently recruiting for a Panel Wiring Technician to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience reading electrical drawings and wiring control panels to a high standard.

Working within a production environment, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels from engineering drawings and schematics, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Assemble and wire electrical control panels to specification.
Install electrical components including relays, contactors, PLCs, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, and associated equipment.
Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to build and wire panels.
Route, terminate, label, and test wiring in accordance with engineering drawings.
Carry out quality checks to ensure panels meet customer and company standards.
Identify and report any drawing discrepancies or technical issues.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Support testing and commissioning activities where required.
The Ideal Candidate 

Previous experience in panel wiring, control panel assembly, or electrical manufacturing.
Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Competent in the use of hand tools and power tools.
Good understanding of electrical components and wiring practices.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Skills & Qualifications

Relevant electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
Experience wiring industrial control panels.
Familiarity with PLC systems and automation equipment.
Experience with electrical testing and fault finding.
