Panel Builder

Temporary/ Contract - 12 months +

£20 per hour (CIS/ Ltd/ Umbrella)

Manchester | Monday–Friday | 6:30am - 3pm | Days | 40 hours per week

The Company

Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-quality process control and automation solutions, supplying customers across a wide range of industries including food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, water, energy and manufacturing.

Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to recruit an experienced Panel Builder to join their manufacturing team at their modern Manchester facility.

The Role

Working within a dedicated electrical manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for the assembly, wiring and testing of bespoke electrical control panels and systems to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and assemble electrical control panels from engineering drawings and schematics.

* Wire electrical control panels, junction boxes and control systems.

* Install electrical components including relays, contactors, PLC hardware, power supplies and terminal systems.

* Interpret electrical schematics, GA drawings and wiring diagrams.

* Carry out point-to-point wiring and cable termination.

* Test completed panels to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

* Diagnose and rectify wiring faults during the build and test stages.

* Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

* Work closely with Design, Production and Test Engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time.

* Ensure all work complies with company procedures and relevant electrical standards.

The Person

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in electrical panel building, machine wiring or industrial electrical assembly.

Ideally you'll have experience within one or more of the following:

* Control Panel Builder

* Electrical Fitter

* Electrical Wireperson

* Panel Wirer

* Machine Builder

* Electrical Assembly Technician

Essential Skills

* Previous experience building electrical control panels.

* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

* Experience wiring industrial control systems.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Good understanding of electrical components and industrial control equipment.

* Ability to work from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.

* Excellent problem-solving skills.

Desirable

* City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent Electrical qualification.

* Experience of PLC control systems.

* Experience of control panels for process industries.

* Knowledge of BS EN 61439 or relevant electrical standards.

* Electrical testing experience.

The Package

Monday-Friday days role.. 40 hours per week.

£20 per hour (CIS/LTD/Umbrella)

Ongoing training and development.
