Description:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter Multi Trade to join a growing Christian charity and supported-housing provider, carrying out responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary of £44,000–£46,000, a brand-new company van, tools provided, regular work and excellent training and development opportunities. You will join an expanding in-house property team working across a large and growing residential and commercial property portfolio.

The role involves working across supported accommodation and community properties, carrying out painting and decorating as a core part of the position alongside general multi-trade repairs and maintenance. You will typically complete around two jobs per day and will generally remain within one local area rather than travelling between distant locations.

We welcome applications from Painters, Decorators, Painter Decorators, Multi Trade Operatives, Multi Skilled Operatives, Maintenance Operatives, Property Maintenance Operatives and Repairs Operatives with strong painting and decorating experience and a background in property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out painting and decorating works across supported housing and other properties
Complete responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works
Undertake general multi-trade repairs as required
Prepare and refurbish void accommodation and other properties
Carry out painting of rooms and communal areas to a high standard
Diagnose and resolve general property maintenance issues
Complete approximately two jobs per day, depending on the size and complexity of the works
Work respectfully and professionally within supported accommodation
Maintain a safe, clean and tidy working environment
Keep managers informed of progress and any issues identified on site
Complete all work in accordance with health and safety and company standardsRequirements:

Previous experience as a Painter Multi Trade or similar multi-skilled property maintenance role
Strong painting and decorating skills
Experience carrying out general property repairs and maintenance
Experience within social housing, supported housing or domestic property maintenance is desirable
Full UK driving licence, ideally with no more than three penalty points
CSCS card is desirable, although training can be provided
Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Professional, respectful and trustworthy approach when working around vulnerable people
