As a Paint Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing personnel to ensure the achievement of agreed quality standards in the preparation of substrates and application of coatings and surface treatments.

You will play a key role in recommending methods to improve project supervision, equipment use, and processes to reduce defects and maintain high-quality standards.

You must be eligible for UK security clearance and due to the nature of the role full SC will be required. A start date will be arranged once baseline has been obtained, whilst the SC application is then processed once on site. If you currently hold SC this can be transferred.

Responsibilities:

Set out daily workfaces and communicate assignments to the paint manager, operations manager, and client
Conduct start-of-shift briefings with operatives, ensuring compliance with COSHH and RAMS requirements
Raise confined space permits as needed
Ensure all works adhere to site inspection and test plan (ITP), work instructions (WI), and project specifications
Communicate daily progress, concerns, and non-conformances to the paint manager
Attend daily production meetings when required
Supervise workfaces to ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements
Encourage best practices in health, safety, and environmental issues
Support client work pack walks when necessary
Raise or request multi-services requests when applicable
Participate in process confirmation with clients
Ensure full compliance with company processes and procedures
Complete daily timesheets for operatives and personal use
Participate in daily handovers to the following shift
Liaise with stores personnel to ensure sufficient stock levels for daily tasks
Perform supervisory activities in accordance with inspection and test plans
Ensure overall compliance with project specifications and client requirements
Maintain proper storage and handling of materials
Carry out pre-work surveys of work areas
Supervise painting and blasting personnel to meet contracted requirements
Monitor performance and feedback from QC inspectors
Prepare daily reports on work status and progress
Take part in internal or third-party audits of the company's quality control system
Ensure timely inspection of all preparation and coating works
Liaise with client representatives for work progression and reporting

Requirements:

Experience in supervising personnel in the preparation and application of industrial coatings
Understanding of site inspection and test plans, work instructions, and project specifications
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Proficiency in completing timesheets and reports
As a Paint Supervisor, you will report directly to the Paint Manager on a daily basis and collaborate closely with quality control personnel to ensure compliance with ISO9001, 14001, and 45001 requirements, as well as client and industry specifications.

There are opportunities on both Day and Night shift and the contract is ongoing.

Rate is dependant on experience and will be discussed at application/interview stage
