Description:

As an Industrial Wet Paint Specialist working with Caterpillar, you will have the opportunity to work with and contribute towards a team of semi skilled and skilled Paint Specialist employees.

In this role you will perform more complex paint tasks. This skilled role allows you to develop your communication and interpersonal skills as well as use your initiative. You will interact with hourly and salaried employees at your facility and will receive guidance from your Team Leader.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Mechanically prepare substrates to required standard using power tools.
Clean and prepare surfaces as per specification.
Stripe coating, cutting in and masking out.
Set up equipment, prime and top coat, seal joints, oven bake, check DFTDFT and ensure relevant paperwork accompanies work orders.
Finish paint components and container units, free of runs and sags. Cosmetic appearance must be of high quality and to customer specification.
Inspects, tests, cleans, adjusts, repairs and services 2K2K and gravity fed spray guns and other painting or coating equipment.
Repairs defects on painted products as required.
Compliance with safety and quality standards.
Compliance with 5S5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.
Train other employees if and when required.
Any other appropriate duties.
Required Qualifications:

Industrial wet paint experience using 2K2K paint systems
Fully competent in all wet painting application including repairs.
The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions as well as basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties described above.
Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns and a reasonable amount of overtime.Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a lean environment.
Strong customer focus.
Attention to detail to meet quality standards.

Day Shift - £15.06 / Hr.
Night Shift - £20.08 / Hr.
Overtime - £22.59 / Hr. (First ten hours)
Overtime - £30.12 / Hr. (After ten hours overtime)
37.5 hours per weekMust be willing to work rotational shift pattern - day shift and night shift
