About the opportunity

Looking for a specialist paediatric OT role with regular supervision, funded CPD and the whole of August off? Recruit by Nature is recruiting one HCPC-registered Paediatric Occupational Therapist for an independent multidisciplinary service across three London clinics.

You will support autistic children and children with sensory and developmental needs, helping them participate in everyday activities, learning and play. This role offers direct clinical work alongside families and a wider therapy team, with mentoring and specialist autism training.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess children’s functional needs and participation using appropriate clinical approaches.
• Develop individual intervention goals and programmes and deliver paediatric occupational therapy.
• Support participation in everyday activities, play, self-care and learning.
• Review progress, adapt interventions and produce clear clinical reports and recommendations.
• Provide practical advice to parents, carers and relevant professionals and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage an appropriate caseload, maintain accurate records and prioritise clinical administration.

About you:

• Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Relevant paediatric occupational therapy experience and practical experience supporting autistic children.
• Ability to demonstrate assessment, intervention and clinical reasoning through specific examples.
• Ability to manage an appropriate caseload and maintain clear clinical records.
• Effective communication with parents, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Practical ability to attend all three clinics and work the advertised Wednesday–Sunday pattern.

Experience with sensory processing, paediatric reporting, outcome monitoring and practical programmes for families or education teams would be advantageous. Experience gained in specialist schools, community paediatrics or private clinics is relevant. Suitability will be assessed on the depth of your clinical experience.

Salary, benefits and development

• £35,000–£43,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus pension contributions.
• Equivalent to 7.5 weeks’ annual leave including bank holidays, allocated around fixed closure periods: one week at Easter, the whole of August and two weeks over Christmas.
• £500 annual CPD budget and £500 annual wellbeing allowance.
• Regular clinical and management supervision, mentoring, specialist autism training and supportive multidisciplinary working.

Opportunities for professional growth and OT-specific development will be discussed during recruitment. Annual leave follows the fixed closure periods described above.

Locations and hours

This is one vacancy covering Walthamstow, Kilburn and Hayes, Bromley. Please consider travel to each clinic, including weekend journeys. Weekly clinic allocation, contractual base, inter-site travel and expenses arrangements remain to be confirmed.

The contract is for 37.5 hours weekly within Wednesday–Friday, 11am–7pm, and Saturday–Sunday, 9am–5pm, including breaks. Precise break and paid-hours arrangements will be confirmed during recruitment.

Skilled Worker sponsorship is available for eligible HCPC-registered candidates, subject to individual eligibility and the employer’s arrangements.
