Introduction
As a Pway CRE, You will play a crucial role in managing the engineering team, planning works, reviewing designs, and ensuring the smooth operations of the Permanent Way department. This is a contract position within IR35.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the engineering team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of projects
Plan and oversee all works related to the Permanent Way department
Review and approve designs to meet safety and regulatory standards
Occasionally attend site to provide technical expertise and support
Utilize your significant experience in track renewals to ensure the successful execution of projects
Demonstrate a strong background and expertise in stressing and tamping processes
Showcase your expertise in plain line and switches and crossings (S&C) works
Hold a valid PTS ticket for working on the rail network
Stressing ticket preferred, but not essential
Job Requirements
Principle Technical Officer/Lead engineer experience
Experience as a P-Way CRE within the Rail industry
Proven ability to lead and manage an engineering team
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize works to meet project deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
