Outreach Tutor Needed
We are looking to expand our experienced team of Outreach Tutors in Cambridgeshire. We provide education to Primary pupils who have been or are at risk of exclusion or are waiting for a new school offer. We are looking for Outreach Tutors in and around Cambridgeshire who have, a passion or interest in reengaging young learners back into education, experience in Autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), Childhood Trauma and at times undiagnosed needs. If you're looking to make a difference and work on a part-time basis, typically 09:00 - 12:00 Mon - Fri this is for you.
Outreach Tutor Responsibilities:
Conduct tutoring sessions in line with the pupil's needs.
Monitor and assess student progress
Report the progress of students to the relevant persons
Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
Identify student learning needs
Guide students through the learning process and ensure their competency standards are achieved
Commit to regular session, typically 09:00 - 12:00 Mon - Fri in Cambridgeshire
At times, work alongside an experienced TA/SEN TA
Outreach Tutor Requirements:
Proven experience as a SEN teacher or Outreach Tutor
Solid understanding of special needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop creative strategies for teaching
Ability to plan and implement interpersonal activities
Ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ideally, own your transport due to rural locations.
Must be a UK Citizen or have the correct Right to Work Visa
Commute to agreed location/s across Cambridgeshire
