Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for bridging the gap between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) in a group who is also leader in engineering services? If so, then this exciting opportunity for an OT/IT Solution Architect might be perfect for you!

About the Role: In a very dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions that integrate OT and IT systems, driving innovation and efficiency across our organization. You will leverage your deep understanding of both domains to build secure, scalable, and reliable architectures that meet the specific needs of our business.

Responsibilities

* Design and architect integrated OT/IT solutions, utilizing technologies like Digital Twins, IoT applications, and Industrial Protocols (OPC UA, MQTT).

* Select and configure appropriate Azure or AWS services based on project requirements.

* Develop and implement Python scripts and Virtual Machines to automate tasks and optimize processes.

* Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments (Engineering, Operations, OT, IT) to understand business needs and ensure technical solutions align with strategic goals.

* Stay current with the latest advancements in OT/IT convergence and emerging technologies.

* Document technical solutions and procedures clearly and concisely.

* Present technical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills and Requirements

* Strong experience of performing a solution architecture role within an engineering, IT, manufacturing or telecommunications environment

* Strong knowledge and application of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, analytics, AR/VR, asset tracking solutions, cyber security, digital twins, digital control towers etc.

* Technically leading complex projects throughout their complete lifecycle from requirements capture to handover and knowledge transfer

* Awareness of project management methodology such as Agile, JIRA tools

* Experience of working within a large-scale organisation, able to work as part of a team, excellent organisations and time keeping skills, strong written and verbal skills

* Experience in business transformation projects

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

* Minimum 5+ years of experience in OT and IT environments

* Strong understanding of Industrial Automation and control systems

* Expertise in OT network protocols (Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, OPC UA, MQTT)

* Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation

* Experience in Utilities and/or Life & Science sector
