Manchester City Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Team Manager to manage a team of OTs who work with children, adults providing equipment and adaptation to promote independence and improve their quality of life. The client offers a full-time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Team Manager includes.

MEAP assess children, adults who have a variety of complex needs, (Physical, neurological, learning disability, cognitive impairment etc)
Manage a team of OTs and who complete both children's and adults' assessments for equipment and adaptations.
Support the Blue Badge Team and our Moving and Handling team so quite a broad remit.
Supervising and signing off work for approx. 8 OTs, covering the other OT during leave etc.
Lead on non-stock panel for bespoke equipment. This includes external requests from health colleagues within the MLCO.
Major adaptations panel Lead for OT cases this sits weekly with OT, Technical and Ops Lead.
Open projects relating to children's, E-learning training for external OTs.
An awareness of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable people, plus an understanding of the importance of dignity & respect when dealing with people. To Be Successful.

Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist team lead.
The candidate must have experience in training and supervising Occupational Therapists.
Experienced Adult Social Care OT required with minimum of 4 years' experience.
Manual handling experience.
HCPC Registration.
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
Eligibility to work in the UK.
