Operations Team Leader
£29,000-£29,600 - 7 month FTC
Night Shifts, 42 hours per week Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 1:30am start
About the role
Our Warehouse teams are the heartbeat of the company. To ensure our warehouse departments run smooth, our Team Leaders play a key part in ensuring accuracy, efficiency and productivity across their departments and warehouses.
As our Operations Team Leader you’ll be responsible for planning and resourcing the warehouse operation to ensure pack accuracy of our products and efficient management products to the department. You will supervise the Warehouse Operatives, providing training, coaching and working with Management teams to identify training needs as well as potential risks in our operation. You will also ensure that a high level of health and safety, compliance with company policy and transport legislation is adhered to at all times.
Your day-to-day will be a mix of tasks, ensuring a varied and dynamic role:
* Processing administrative tasks and data entry: You'll keep our warehouse operations running smoothly.
* Responding to customer queries.
* Daily general housekeeping duties and some warehouse duties are required as part of the role.
* Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment: You'll play a key role in ensuring our warehouse runs efficiently.
* Operating a forklift truck to move stock around the warehouse. No prior FLT experience is necessary! We'll provide comprehensive training to get you licensed to operate a forklift truck.
* Monitor contractor process compliance and provide feedback on their performance.

About you
Although a track record in warehouse management would be desirable, people management experience gained in other sectors would be considered. You’ll ideally have:
* Experience of working in a fast paced environment, preferably from a 24/7 logistics, warehouse, FMCG or similar industry background
* Experience managing a large operation and the ability to liaise at all levels
* Outstanding communication skills and the credibility to effectively build relationships with all team members and management
* Experience of planning and effectively executing a warehouse operation. Dealing with all issues and challenges as they arise
