Operations Manager (Technical Manufacturing)

£65,000 - £70,000 + 10% Bonus + Progression + Training + Enhanced Holidays + Healthcare Plan

Are you an operations manager, with experience in a technical manufacturing setting, looking to join a leading company that manufactures highly technical precision equipment?

Do you have experience working in a regulated quality environment managing multidisciplined teams driving continuous improvement?

On offer is a role with a company established over five decades ago which has grown to employ over 1200 people globally. Supplying primarily into the aerospace and defence industries, the company manufactures high performance cable assemblies with quality as their central focus.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for production planning, resource allocation, and operational problem-solving.

You will have experience implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, and process optimisation and support business growth, operational change, and continuous improvement.

The Role:

Ensure the business maintains compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SC21 and AS9100 standards
Ensure all products are delivered On Time In Full (OTIF), to required quality standards and agreed commercial targets
Lead, manage, and develop the operational team to create a high-performing and accountable culture
Develop, implement, and manage operational KPIs aligned to business objectives
Analyse operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Ensure materials and equipment are available in line with production schedules and operational requirements
Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the operation
Lead initiatives focused on Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, process optimisation, and operational efficiencyThe Person:
