Operations Manager
Location: Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, South Wales
Salary: Circa £50k - £60k plus excellent benefits
A local Electrical Manufacturing company are now looking for a Hands-on Operations Manager to join their team.
Operations Manager – Overview:
You will be acting as the Group’s Managing Director 2nd in command. With a strong, strategic focus on Manufacturing Processes, you will drive forward the manufacturing out-put whilst also having a hands-on and engaging approach.
Operations Manager – Job Role:
* Production – Working to improve the service to planning and sales
* Process Engineering – Assisting in the identification of capital projects (CapEx) and all product costings.
* Production Control – Responsible for overseeing the good order of ERP
* Purchasing – Highlighting opportunities to improve position via process.
* Health and Safety – Overall responsibility of HSE on site
* HR – Work with the HR Manager to set up policies and procedures.
Operations Manager – Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate MUST come from the Manufacturing Industry as an Operations Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:
* Ideally hold a relevant qualification such as MBA, BEng or CEng (qualification is not essential and past work experience will be considered)
* Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes.
* Ideally have a health and safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBSOH
* Ideally come from an electrical or electronic background but not essential
* Be engaging and personable, able to communicate effectively at both board level and shop floor level.
