Location: Bedford
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (30-minute lunch)

The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Operations Manager/Business Manager to oversee the daily running of our clients Bedford-based operation. This is a critical position responsible for managing client contacts, ensuring smooth operational workflows, and driving efficiency through new system implementations. You will play a pivotal role in introducing bespoke systems and maintaining key relationships, particularly with the Senior Management Team, who lead performance reviews and business strategy.
Key Parts:
- Manage daily operations ensuring all processes run seamlessly
- Lead the introduction and adoption of systems
- Maintain strong client communication primarily via telephone introductions
- Oversee data-driven decision making and operational reporting
- Coordinate monthly Health & Safety checks, HR forms, and 6-monthly audits
- Work closely with off-site HR to ensure compliance and documentation
- Support a small team of 11 staff plus temporary workers as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain key internal relationships
What we need from you:
- Proven background in printing and mailing operations (desirable)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient with office software and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone
- Disciplined and self-motivated approach
- Ability to manage operational challenges and system transitions effectively
