An excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of a growing domestic installations division within a well-established engineering business. With responsibility for engineers, scheduling, productivity, commercial performance and customer delivery, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for genuine autonomy and the chance to directly influence how a growing department operates and performs.
The business has built a strong reputation delivering heating, renewable energy and associated installation services across the Bristol region and is now focused on controlled growth across its domestic operations. With an established team, direct access to senior management and ambitious plans for the division, they are looking for an experienced operational leader who can bring structure, accountability and commercial focus while maintaining the quality and customer service the business is known for.
As an Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the day-to-day delivery of domestic installations, managing engineers, electricians, renewable engineers and subcontractors
* Owning scheduling, engineer allocation and forward capacity planning while ensuring projects are fully prepared for installation
* Managing operational performance across productivity, lead times, quality, customer satisfaction, Health & Safety and compliance
* Reviewing labour, materials, project duration and profitability while reducing delays, revisits, remedial work and operational inefficiencies
The successful Operations Manager should have:
* Proven experience managing installation, engineering, construction or field-based operational teams
* Strong knowledge of domestic heating installations, with renewable energy.
* Strong commercial awareness with experience managing labour, scheduling, productivity, project costs and operational performance
* Confident leadership skills with a practical understanding of Health & Safety, compliance, quality and customer expectations
