Remuneration: £50,000-£60,000 per annum plus car allowance

A major property service contractors is seeking an ambitious Operations Manager to lead a team of contracts managers/site managers and ensure the overall success of the branch. This office-based role will require you to work from the office in Warrington with minimal on-site requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Social Housing contracting and a strong background in managing large-scale projects from a delivery standpoint.
You will be a significant member of the senior team reporting directly to and working closely with the Branch manager to sustain the growth of the branch.
Core duties:
• Establish and maintain a safe working environment for all contracts within the branch, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Contracts Managers to develop and implement mobilization plans for all new projects, ensuring seamless project initiation and execution.
• Assist Contracts Managers in developing project-specific programs and establish a comprehensive master resource program for the branch to optimize resource allocation and project efficiency.
• Ensure the availability of appropriate resources to enable the contracts team to deliver projects on time, within specifications, and within budget constraints.
• Monitor labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure projects are delivered to the exemplary standards exceeding client expectations and industry benchmarks.
• Provide leadership and motivation to Contracts Managers, supervisors, foremen, site staff, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the delivery of customer promises and proactively develop strong, lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Act as a brand ambassador, consistently promoting the values, ethos, and commitment to excellence in all interactions and opportunities.
What we require from you:
• Degree qualified or equivalent in construction e.g. BA, NVQ L2/3, HNC or equivalent
• Experience leading a team of contracts managers/site managers. (must have)
• Valid SMSTS and CSCS cards
• Previous involvement in Social Housing projects within a contracting environment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in overseeing large projects, demonstrating excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong team player capable of collaborating effectively within a diverse team.
• Ability to set and achieve targets while motivating team members to reach individual goals.
• Competent in compiling and presenting Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and handling commercials.
• Willingness to spearhead departmental management responsibilities, including labour management, workload projections, transport logistics, training, and Health & Safety protocols.
