Operations Manager

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading timber manufacturing company based in North Ayrshire who supply the UK and Irish markets with product for construction, pallet wood and fencing industries.

The Operations Manager will play a vital part in managing and co-ordinating activities, minimising downtime and driving improvements.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of Timber Frame, you will be responsible for:
Leading operations manufacturing and/or support functions on site.
Managing the project teams, developing and implementing change within the plant.
Maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring all H&S policies and procedures are adhered too.
Building working relationships with all departments.
Ensure all product manufacture procedures are fully implanted and in line with regulatory expectations
Ensure all personnel are trained appropriately to carry out role.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
5 years experience working at similar level within a manufacturing facility
Ability to engage with design teams ensuring manufacturing is optimised.
Timber frame and roof truss experience is advantageous.
