Have you had experience of managing both production and logistics functions? Would you like to work for a small size, well-established company? Had a General or Operations Manager position before?
If so, this is a very rare opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing and textile distribution company.
In this role you would take responsibility for 30 plus office and operational staff, with the 3 Senior Key managers reporting directly to you and enjoy the freedom to use your knowledge and experience to ensure the smooth running of the site's operations.
This role is varied, allowing you to be involved, manage, or influence all aspects the business functions covering Production Management & Planning, Warehousing and logistics, Quality and facilities Management.

In this role as the site General Manager the key Duties will be:
* Oversee the supply chain function, including negotiating with regular suppliers,
controlling purchasing, delivery of raw materials imports.
* liaising with the Warehouse Manager to control stock inventory, picking, packing,
supply to production unit.
* Production planning and management to fulfil customer orders.
* Take responsibility through the SHEQ Manager for all aspects of Quality Control,
H&S and ISO quality management systems to ensure that the correct standards and
procedures are met across site.
* Manage staff recruitment, training, and disciplinary procedures.
* Take responsibility for the site Facilities Management.
Ideally you will have previous experience of operational or general site management in both production and logistics with hands on man management skills. Good communications and the ability to work with and through people are key in this position.
