Role Overview:
Cast UK are supporting a prestigious client with the recruitment process of an Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of our logistics operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our supply chain processes are optimised, cost-effective, and aligned with our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate and timely stock levels.
Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Utilise data and analytics to monitor performance and drive decision-making.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a logistics operations management role.
Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics principles.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
IOSH qualification would be advantageous
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and technology.
