Time Commitment: 37 hours per week (Possibility of shifts where applicable)
Salary: £30,000 per annum with annual increase
Location: Wolverhampton, WV10
Contract Length: Initial 3 year fixed term contract
Start Date: 2nd September 2024

What does taking part in the Collins Aerospace Operations Graduate Programme involve?
Aimed at ambitious and eager graduates who are looking to develop within one of the world’s largest aerospace companies. The scheme will provide you with a structured development programme to enable you to become our next generation of Shift Managers.
The graduate scheme will enable you to gain exposure to a variety of roles on a rotational basis allowing you to develop as a knowledgeable and well-rounded Shift Manager. Over the 3 year period, you will rotate through 5 core business areas:
* Operations
* Manufacturing
* Supply Chain
* Quality
* Production Control (SIOP)
There is also the opportunity to self-select a further rotation which supports your individual development plan. You will have direct exposure to senior leaders throughout the graduate scheme in the form of senior sponsors, mentors and regular presentations to the site director regarding your development. This will support you in growing to be a future manager within operations.

You will undertake a comprehensive personal development program across the three years as well as the completion of The Aston Professional Managers' Award with Aston University which will develop key management and leadership decision making skills and tools through the following topics:
* Operations Management - a process perspective
* People Management - how to manage yourself and engage others
* Project Management - delivering successful projects for successful outcomes
* Business Strategy - out-thinking your competitors
* Finance - interpreting financial data to make more effective decisions
* Marketing - why it matters for business success
By the end of the programme, having completed your rotations and training, you will have gained an effective understanding of Collins Aerospace’s business strategies and processes, and developed the skills, knowledge and experience to help us to continue to redefine aerospace.

Essential
* Graduates in any related discipline who have completed their first degree with a minimum of a 2:1 (or predicted)
* Great team players!
* Curiosity and the ability to absorb information to enable you to understand our business and the role effectively
* Strong business acumen, leadership potential and change management capabilities
* The confidence and vision to look at, and challenge, existing ways of working
* Analytical thinkers – you’ll be handling lots of information and data and you’ll need to make sense of it
* Fluency in English
Desirable
* Graduates in Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering who have completed their first degree with a minimum of a 2:1 (or predicted)
* Natural leaders
* Brilliant communicators – you’ll be liaising with many different people

* Great organisation skills with a keen eye for detail

As part of the recruitment process, successful candidates will be invited on site to our facility in Wolverhampton to participate in an assessment centre which will be held week commencing 1st July. You will receive a formal invite if you are successful to this stage which will include all the information regarding the day.
