Job Title: Operations Data Analyst
Location: London
Duration: 6 months

£200 p/d Inside IR35

My high-profile client are recruiting for a Data Analyst. The role is a Hybrid position on site 2 days a week and 3 days from home, working normal office hours. The role is a 6 months working normal hours.

Background

Static data requirements, including Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI), are required to be inserted, reviewed, and maintained in a timely fashion across a large range of the banks systems in additional to the banks main securities trading platform.

Key internal Stakeholders include: -

Front and middle office Departments of the aforementioned entities.

KYC

Internal Audit

Finance / Reg

Compliance

Risk

Operational Risk

Systems and System Development

Facts / Scale

Immediate stakeholders involve - team colleagues and Associates/AVPs & VPs in Operation areas.

Registration, Review and Maintain approximately 25+ SSI requests per day with approx. 60-100 static data amendments per day.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities (Bank)

Registration of customer data in CIF / Accord and allocation of SUN and Account Numbers.
Monitoring EIC workflows and managing requests in DC owned queues.
Customer registration and maintenance in all systems.
Monitoring incoming SWIFT messages for SSI notifications.
Registering bank and corporate SSIs.
Bond creation and maintenance.
Registration of vendor information and payment details.
Dormant customer reporting.
Monitoring data validation reports.
Inputting direct debits, stop cheques and restrictions.
Monitoring the group email inbox.
Reviewing daily system reports and other daily housekeeping tasks.
Verification, validation, and approval of daily operations.
Taking part in data cleansing tasks.
Aiding with system enhancements and related testing.
Reviewing departmental procedures.
Meeting deadlines for critical tasks on daily business.
Registering ISDA & CSA information.
Working in conjunction with line managers in any other tasks as requested.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities (Nikko CM)

Insert, Review and Authorise new sub accounts, confirmation details, SSI, and identifiers Insert, Review and Authorise the Input of 'issuer', 'Depositories' and 'ultimate counterparty' data, including depository links.
Review & authorise static updates relating to underlying securities data
Amendment and other maintenance on the above
Control other data related tasks on ad-hoc basis
Manage and allocate tasks from the dedicated email in-box
Trade exception management to facilitate and maintain the high STP ratios
Regular collection of MIS that portrays the efforts undertaken
Daily checks and Close of business reporting, review & report.
Control the risk environment relating to data ensuring adequate controls are in place Maintenance of existing data through periodic cleansing Ad-Hoc tasks set by Operations Data Managers.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Understanding of control regimes in an Operations environment
Trade Life-cycle knowledge
