Are you a dynamic and experienced team leader looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Our client, a leading non-profit organisation in Gateshead, is seeking an Operational Support Team Leader to join their dedicated team on a fixed-term contract basis to cover maternity leave. This super varied role will see you managing a team and overseeing operational support functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Annual Salary: £30,550
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 4:30 PM, 35-hour week

Team Management: Lead a team of 7, overseeing holiday, sickness, and absence management
Stock Management: Handle internal and external stock ordering, maintaining accurate records and ensuring optimal stock levels
Client Liaison: Manage stock requirements for commercial clients, producing accurate usage reports
Audits: Conduct monthly and end-of-year stock takes, liaising with external auditors
Supplier Relationships: Ensure timely, cost-efficient receipt of production materials, maintaining quality standards
Sub Contracted Stock: Oversee the process, maintaining an accurate audit trail
New Product Introduction: Lead on raw materials, costings, and delivery times
Reception Management: Oversee visitor reception, ensuring security and customer assurance
Inductions: Conduct local inductions for new starters, covering safety, security, and environmental measures
Customer Experience: Communicate internal customer issues, devise improvements, and resolve complaints
Dispatch Management: Handle Royal Mail and Courier dispatches, maintaining accurate invoicing records
Resource Deployment: Oversee work allocation, maintaining quality standards
Cross-team Cooperation: Ensure business needs are met, providing support and advice
Purchasing: Handle ad hoc purchases with a company GPC card, maintaining accurate recordsRequirements:

Managerial or Team Leader experience
Background in operations, administration, or management
Experience in an office environment with strong organisational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience in managing and developing staff
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on improving customer experience
NVQ Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent - desierable
