Our client is a leading manufacturer, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers. Located in the picturesque town of Dorking, Surrey, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach and commitment to excellence. 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment and will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout our production processes.

Operational Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.

Analyze quality data and generate reports to track performance and identify trends.

Train and mentor staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.

Work closely with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards.

Participate in new product development to ensure quality is built into the design and manufacturing process.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

First off and sample approval ensuring that all new products through the use of FAI reports , APQP and FMEA’s

Operational Quality Engineer Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field would be desirable

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in using quality management software and tools.

Certification in Six Sigma or similar quality improvement methodologies is a plus.
