What you'll be doing;

Support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the Energy Recovery Facility under the direction of the Shift Team Leader.
Complete daily activities in the Tipping Hall and associated areas to maintain safe, efficient and effective operations.
Monitor waste reception and disposal activities, ensuring vehicles and drivers comply with company procedures while on site.
Operate refuse cranes, mobile plant, weighbridge equipment and other operational plant, following appropriate training.
Support compliance with the site Environmental Permit and report any non-compliance, incidents or environmental issues to the Operations Manager.
Work in accordance with the company's Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems and all relevant legislation.
Assist company employees, contractors and other operational teams as required.
Complete other reasonable duties requested by management to support the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
What we're looking for;

Knowledge of relevant regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements.
Experience working in an industrial environment, ideally within a continuous-process operation.
Previous experience in an engineering or operational role would be beneficial.
Relevant qualifications or training appropriate to the duties of the position.
The ability to operate, or successfully train to operate, refuse cranes, mobile equipment, fixed plant and weighbridge systems.
The ability to follow operational procedures and identify and report safety, environmental or compliance issues.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
The ability to work with minimal supervision while following direction from the Shift Team Leader.
