Based close to Birmingham this new beautiful service is ready to open, supporting children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties. Using the Dan Hughes PACE model among many others the young people already within the company are supported in a safe, caring and compassionate environment by excellent, experienced and qualified staff. With specialist consultants supporting the children's journey as well as the staff this is an excellent opportunity to join this service.
The ideal candidate will have experience of fit-for-purpose interviews and experience holding an OFSTED registration. As an EBD Registered Manager, you will be expected to provide outstanding care for children and young people within a residential home. You will be required to have knowledge and experience of: Children's Act, Ofsted regulations, Staff management, compliance and safeguarding, Reg 44s and OFSTED inspections. The ideal candidate will know how to engage in the referral and matching process, liaising with all parties involved.
Your role as an Ofsted Registered Manager will be to lead from the front, setting excellent examples for staff and young people alike. There is an excellent opportunity for you to model this service around your own personality and practice methods.
Salary £48,000-£55,000 plus bonuses

Managing a Residential service for children and young people
Engaging with children is going to be your key responsibility, setting examples and building excellent rapport to enable independence
Leading a team of skilled staff ensuring they are supported and trained to an excellent standard
Providing emotional support and stability within the home
Taking part in the referral and matching process
Reg 44 and OFSTED visits, collating and auditing information
Tasks including creating care plans, organisation around referrals, staff management and training, liaising with social workers and family members of young people.
Communication between the home and a team of multi-disciplinary professionals supporting the young people
Understanding and knowledge of safeguarding processes and policies
Keeping a record of support and focusing on positive outcomes for the children you support
De-escalating challenging behaviour
Working in a team and delegation of tasks Requirements of an Ofsted Registered Manager:

Must have a caring and open-minded nature and be willing to work on call
Experience with EBD, CSE, CCE or ACEs
At least 2 years experience of working within a residential children’s setting
Experience to meet in line with Ofsted requirements
Ideally experience of fit-for-purpose interviews and holding a registration
Hold or willing to work toward a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership
Ideally hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification
