Description:
Our client, a leader in advanced technological and engineering services within the renewables sector, is currently seeking an Offshore Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on various vessels dedicated to the installation of offshore wind foundations, delivering essential engineering services directly on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Offshore Construction Superintendent and report directly to them
Execute tasks assigned by the Offshore Construction Superintendent in coordination with the Offshore Construction Assistant, vessel master and chief engineer
Monitor construction and installation progress to ensure compliance with quality standards
Develop and apply methods of installation and maintenance as required
Utilise electronic daily progress reports to track actual versus planned activities
Verify sub-contractor performance and assess their operational effectiveness
Coordinate with project personnel and on-board teams to ensure smooth preparation and execution of field operations
Supervise yard activities for offshore construction
Collaborate with asset management for contract monitoring
Ensure engineering standards are applied in all construction activities
Engage with client technical representatives on engineering matters
Conduct technical verifications in the field as necessary
Job Requirements:
Experience in project engineering within the renewables sector
Strong understanding of offshore construction and installation processes
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Proficiency in using electronic tracking tools and daily progress reporting
Knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements
Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with various stakeholders
Exceptional communication and organisational skills
