Our client based in the Wigan area is looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join their growing team.

The main purpose of the Office Administrator is to be responsible for day-to-day movement of all materials despatched, transport and all other relevant documentation.

The role also includes aspects of order preparation between job functions and normal administrative duties; reports, filling, answering phone calls and e-mails both internal and external, any other reasonable task requested by the directors would also be included.

As the Office Administrator, your duties will include:

Preparation of orders for dispatch and other customer specific requirements, i.e., quality certificates, label requirements.

Produce product labels for customer orders.

Produce certificates of analysis (CofA’s) from both Tropos system and manual templates and check and e-mail to customers prior to despatch

Producing Dangerous Goods Notes for Export purposes

Produce daily despatch reports.

Order transport as required and liaise with freight forwarders and carriers.

Assist in inputting stock movements and receiving goods onto the Tropos.

Provide stock movement information when required.

Provide goods inwards labels for all inbound raw materials.

Accurate allocation of finished products to sales orders by batch number.

Printing of batch sheets and MI’s for production.

Liaising with production, warehouse, planning, purchasing and sales.

Inform sales team about any changes with sales orders required.

Book and arrange transfers of material from Lamberhead to Standish

Deal and respond to e-mails / telephone calls in a timely manner.

General administrative duties; filing and stationary orders

The appropriate retention and adequate upkeep of required records and documentation

Answering phone calls

Taking messages for other departments

Carrying out other administrative duties as required

Any other reasonable task requested by your line manager.

Office Administrator Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Essential

Experience within warehouse / administration

Be familiar with Microsoft office, Word, Excel and Outlook

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication skills

Good Time Management skills

Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks

Flexible approach to working

Ability to build customer relationships

Pleasant and positive telephone manner

Work as part of a team but also use own initiative

Ability to stay calm and work accurately, even under pressure

Self-motivated and forward thinking

Previous use of ERP system (Desirable)

Office Administrator Benefits:

Location: Wigan

Hours: 8am-4pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £22,600 per annum

33 days – includes bank holiday entitlement

Company Pension - Company contributes 3% and the employee contributes 5%

Healthcare - Eligible for BUPA cover after 6 months probationary period.
