What You Will Do: 

- Lead off-cycle engineering activities for cockpit a-surface parts, including trim, finishers, and veneers.

- Author and update Bills of Design and DFMEAs to grow the "body of knowledge" for trim and a-surface components.

- Define and progress innovation and technology projects to enhance the design and functionality of cockpit systems.

- Conduct benchmarking studies to establish best practices and cutting-edge solutions.

- Collaborate with suppliers to stay ahead of advancements in component and manufacturing technologies.

- Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives within the trim and a-surface domain.

What You Will Bring:

- Strong knowledge of plastic automotive component design fundamentals, particularly in areas such as veneer/finisher technologies, wrapping processes, and geometric control.

- Experience supporting programme delivery for cockpit and interior systems from concept to production.

- Proven ability to resolve technical and process issues within a project team environment.

- Familiarity with product creation, delivery processes, and change management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
