Ocean Freight Forwarder – Preston

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and grow current customer base, cross selling across our other market bases.
Complete the end-to-end process for all ocean export consignments (FCL & LCL).
Liaise with overseas agents, Merchant haulage, and shipping lines.
Ability to look over customs documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, BOLs.
Liaise with our clearing agents to complete custom entries.
Resolve customer issues and escalate where support is needed.
Liaise with sub-contractors to arrange carriage of goods to various worldwide destinations.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years working for a Freight Forwarder in the UK on Deep Sea. Airfreight knowledge preferred but not essential.
Ocean/Deep-Sea Experience
Customs experience.
Experience in Key Account Management experience.
Excellent customer service.
Good verbal and written communication.
