Job Title: Ocean Freight Clerk

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in ocean freight operations, including cutting documentation, customs clearance, and communication with shipping lines. Road freight experience is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and process shipping documentation for ocean freight shipments
* Coordinate customs clearance procedures
* Communicate with shipping lines, carriers, and other stakeholders
* Ensure accurate and timely cargo tracking and reporting
* Handle any exceptions or issues related to shipments
* Assist with general administrative tasks related to ocean freight operations
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in ocean freight
* Proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Knowledge of LCL and FCL services
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work Monday to Friday, with 1 in every 4 Saturdays
