About Us
Cygnet was established in 1988 as an independent provider of health and social care services in England, Scotland and Wales. Cygnet Alders Clinic is on the Welsh Hospital Framework with specialist service status.
Your Role: Occupational Therapy Assistant
Contract: FTC for 6 months
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm
Service Line: Female Mental Health Adults (Personality Disorder)
Summary of the site:
Alders Clinic is a highly specialist personality disorder service for women with complex needs.
MDT consists of Hospital Manager, Head of Care, Psychiatry, Nursing Team, Psychology, Drama Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
Caseload, up to 16 patients, 20 bed service.
Occupational Therapy Team consists of Senior/Head Occupational Therapist, Band 5 Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Cygnet Alders Clinic provide a specialist psychologically informed personality disorder pathway across three living areas:
- Severn, for assessment and stabilisation;
- Avon, where service users move as they engage and progress with their treatment pathway: - Coln, which focuses on transitioning to the community.
Occupational Therapy Directorate
Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.
Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.
We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.
