Must Have:
- Occupational Therapy degree
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Licence to Practise
- Safeguarding certificate
- SEN experience not essential but preferred
Job Description:
As an Occupational Therapist at our SEN school, you will be instrumental in supporting the physical, emotional, and educational development of our students. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored intervention plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of students with SEN and develop individualised therapy plans.
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions to enhance students' daily living and learning skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom setting.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Offer training and support to school staff and parents to ensure consistent application of therapy strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with professional standards and school policies.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to contribute to the comprehensive development of students.
