Occupational Therapist

Location: Ceredigion, Wales
Pay Rate: £42.63 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Temporary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Community Occupational Therapy Team in Ceredigion. You will provide high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy to adults and older people, helping to maximise independence, safety and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a varied and complex caseload independently.

*

Undertake functional, manual handling and risk assessments.

*

Assess and recommend specialist equipment and housing adaptations.

*

Develop person-centred intervention and care plans.

*

Provide advice and support to individuals, families and carers.

*

Work collaboratively with health, social care and other partner agencies.

*

Supervise and delegate to Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and volunteers.

*

Maintain accurate records and prepare professional reports.

*

Support safeguarding and manage risks appropriately during community visits.

*

Participate in duty rotas, supervision, training and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

*

HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

*

Experience in community occupational therapy, particularly with adults and older people.

*

Knowledge of specialist equipment, housing adaptations and manual handling.

*

Ability to manage a complex caseload and work autonomously.

*

Excellent communication and multi-agency working skills.

*

Commitment to person-centred practice, safeguarding and continuous professional development.

*

Ability to undertake community visits and work flexibly.

Mandatory: Must have a UK Passport or a Full Right to Work in the UK
