Occupational Therapist (Adults, Health & Communities)

We are currently seeking a Occupational Therapist join our team in North London. As a Occupational Therapist , you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to our clients, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Position: Occupational Therapist (Adults, Health & Communities)
Location: N22, London
Salary: £31/hr (millege @ £0.45)
Job Type: July to September (3 month/36hours per week)
Temp to Perm possibility(phone number removed)k per annum)

Requirements:

5 year in-UK references (of which 1 year must be OT experience)
Occupational Therapist Registration
GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
Experience with Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:

Provide initial assessment of service users with complex care and therapy needs across various teams.
Support service users in setting client-centered goals to promote independence and well-being at home.
Facilitate user choice and empowerment by providing timely information, advice, and evidence-based support.
Assess and provide equipment to improve daily living activities and reduce injury risk.
Independently manage a caseload with effective prioritization, delegation, and time management.
Identify service users suitable for Continuing Health Care for managing complex health needs.
Identify and address safeguarding concerns, conducting risk assessments, and making appropriate referrals.
Assess capacity to make informed decisions in line with the Care and Mental Capacity Act.
Ensure cost-effective service provision, recommending specialist equipment and adaptations.
Complete carer assessments to support informal carers and manage risk of carer breakdown.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports using council IT systems.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with Data Protection Act and Caldicott Guidance.
Develop and maintain effective relationships across Adult Social Care and other specialist agencies.
Promote the service to other organizations and provide guidance on Occupational Therapy service provision.
Provide supervision and professional development for OT Assistants and junior team members.
Recommend changes to the Occupational Therapy role and act as a skills resource for other professionals
