About the Role

A specialist SEN school in West Drayton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to develop the skills required to access learning, increase independence, and reach their full potential.

The school supports pupils with Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing needs, and associated learning difficulties. Working alongside teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and support staff, you will deliver tailored interventions that have a lasting impact on pupils' educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Assess pupils' functional, sensory, and motor needs

* Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes aligned with EHCP outcomes

* Deliver 1:1 and group occupational therapy interventions

* Support pupils with sensory regulation, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and activities of daily living

* Provide advice, strategies, and training to teaching staff and parents

* Produce high-quality clinical reports and contribute to EHCP reviews

* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for pupils

* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HCPC and RCOT standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

* Degree in Occupational Therapy

* HCPC registration

* Experience working with children and young people

* Strong understanding of sensory integration and child development

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

* Right to Work in the UK

Desirable:

* Experience within an SEN school or specialist education setting

* Experience supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH, sensory processing needs, and learning difficulties

* Knowledge of EHCP processes and report writing

* Sensory Integration training

* RCOT membership
